☆ MAXIMUS RIGEL ☆
Toyhouse Profilethe head of MAJOR•arcana, the world's premier current events magazine. maximus is charming and princely, often erring on the side of overly formal ( ... if a bit pretentious at times, despite what his placidly naive smile seems to suggest :)? ), though some would describe our dear 'prince' rigel as rather eccentric. he is someone who finds himself constantly mesmerized by the beauty of the world... even if he sometimes tends to grow bored and disinterested rather easily, and only tends to do whatever he himself wishes to. while friendly and immensely personable, he is, all the same, likely the most hedonistic bastard you will ever manage to meet. according to him, he is merely a slave to the whims of fate, and must spend his existence following it around no matter what form it takes . . . usually in the form of worldly pleasures, so it seems.
maximus adamantly claims that he is twenty-three years old, though it's more likely that this is merely a marker of how old he was when he became a swordsworn, given that he's held this position for at least that long... he doesn't look a day over it, though, yes :)?
it isn't remotely uncommon to find him draped over a chaise lounge in his office, an espresso martini in one hand and a fountain pen in the other. though, while he may outwardly come off as a bit lazy, he's really quite diligent and passionate about his work -- writing is his second truest love, of course, after the whims of destiny. aside from his work for the magazine, maximus has published a massive trove of horror and romance novels -- often depicting relations between swordsworn and certain manifestations of scorned. if you aren't inclined to take interest in such things, perhaps you'd be more pleased to hear about his forays into modeling and his artisanship with brewing coffee...?
